Daniel sturridge love for American football

Liverpool striker Daniel sturridge watched the NFL match played between 49ers vs jags recently at wembley stadium, the England foward was all smiles as the ticket to the stadium was made possible by Nikelondon. The colour of the jersey looked more like a liverpool jersey, i guess that was why he was supporting the 49er's to win.

gave him the chance to prove he could be the star he has become.
The former Manchester City youngster has been scoring goals for fun in the early weeks of the season, and he claims that is down to being played in the right position.
The 24-year-old managed just 13 goals in 63 appearances at Stamford Bridge, but has netted 18 in just 23 games since moving to Merseyside for £12million in January.
He told Sport magazine: “When I went to Bolton [on loan], I was able to show what I can do because I was playing as a centre-forward.
“At Chelsea, I never got the chance to do that, and I’ve got that opportunity here [at Liverpool]. I’m just playing the position that I enjoy playing in.
“My faith in God, my self-belief and the hard work I put in on the training field; they’ve all helped me become the player I am now, but I’d say the biggest difference is I’m back to my natural thoughts and I’ve got no clouded vision when I’m on the field. That’s probably the main thing that has changed.”
As well as his own self-belief, Sturridge also credits manager Brendan Rodgers with helping get his career back on track.
When asked if Rodgers was part of the reason for his move to Liverpool, he said: “It was, yeah, because I knew about him from when I was at Chelsea, and the players who were there spoke highly of him. He had tried to get me on loan when he was at Swansea, so I knew he rated me. He knows how I work.
“He knows what I need. I needed to be believed in, to play as a centre-forward at a club. I didn’t get that at Chelsea, and Brendan gave me the opportunity to do that here.
“We work well together, and it’s great to be part of his philosophy. He gets the most out of his players, and makes us want to win for him. He’s just very good at man-management as well as the tactics and team stuff.”

Fifa president finally apologises to Christiano Ronaldo

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has apologised to Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid for making disparaging remarks about the Portugal captain.
During a debate at Oxford University on Ronaldo and Barcelona star Lionel Messi's respective qualities, Blatter joked that "one spends more time at the hairdresser's than the other".
Ronaldo took offense, as did his club, as they felt it indicated Fifa's institutional bias towards Messi, who has pipped Ronaldo to the body's Ballon d'Or award for the past four years.
Blatter, however, maintains there was no malice intended in his comments.
"I apologise if you were upset by my light-hearted answer at private event on Friday," the Swiss wrote to Ronaldo's official Twitter account. "I never meant to offend you.
"I am an honorary 'socio' at Real Madrid and explained we've many talented players in world game, including you. Best wishes."

Balotelli to remain at Ac Milan

The 23-year-old Italy striker, who joined AC Milan from Manchester City in January, has been linked with a possible move to Chelsea.
Balotelli has scored three Serie A goals this season and is contracted to the Rossoneri until June 2017.
"He will not leave in January, absolutely not," Allegri said on his club's website.
Balotelli was banned for three games in September for using "intimidating and insulting" words to the referee after AC Milan's 2-1 defeat by Napoli.
But his manager has backed him to be a success at the San Siro.
He added: "I think Mario should be left in peace. It's not difficult to manage him.
"There's far too much discussion of the man's private life.
"I think that Balotelli should be judged for what he does on the pitch, like all other players."
Balotelli is expected to lead Milan's attack in Wednesday's game against Lazio.

BIZZARE; Brazillian footballer beheaded

Police in Brazil have launched a manhunt after the severed head of a former professional footballer was left on the doorstep of his home. The horrified wife of Joao Rodrigo Silva Santos, 35, made the gruesome discovery as she left the house in Rio de Janeiro for work early yesterday morning.

The player's eyes and tongue had been cut out and his head placed inside one of his own rucksacks, police said. Mr Santos retired from football two years ago after a successful career playing for several teams in Rio de Janeiro, as well as for clubs in Sweden and Honduras.

He had recently set up his own business selling health foods and dietary supplements. Continue...

UEFA punish CSKA over Yaya racist row

So after much moralising from UEFA spokespeople – and indeed in their statement below – football’s European governing body has delivered its ‘punishment’ on CSKA Moscow for the Russian club’s racial abuse of Yaya Toure last week.
And CSKA’s white supremacists will be licking their wounds, ready to change their ways after learning of it. NOT.
Because the punishment isn’t even a punishment: CSKA will have to play ONE game behind partially closed doors.
What sort of a deterrent is this supposed to be to the bigots who abused Toure? What sort of message does it send out?
Read UEFA’s statement below:
The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body has handed down sanctions to CSKA Moscow following incidents during their UEFA Champions League home game against Manchester City.
“Specifically, the Control and Disciplinary Body has decided to close sector D of the stadium during the club’s next UEFA competition home match.
“CSKA’s next home fixture is scheduled against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on 27 November in Moscow.
“The fight against racism is a high priority for UEFA … All forms of racist behavior are considered serious offenses against the disciplinary regulations and are punished with the most severe sanctions.”

REVEALED; Footballers and their favourite music

Music plays a big part in many people’s lives, and footballers are not the exception. It is very common to see them wearing headphones when they arrive or leave the stadium.
A tune that can inspire them before a game, or relax them after one, is certainly welcome. What do Ronaldo, Neymar and Lionel Messi listen to?
Let's find out...
Phil Collins, George Michael and Elton John are some of Cristiano Ronaldo's favorite songs. "CR7" likes to listen to romantic tunes, of the likes of Alicia Keys, but also enjoys Brazilian music.
The Portuguese put together a chart for Beatport, and he included some of the most famous DJs, like Swedish House Mafia and Eric Prydz.
Although he has retired, there is no way to leave David Beckham out of the list.
The English footballer has lots of pop tunes and that means Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and the Jonas Brothers, according to his former teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Well, let's not forget David had four kids, ages 14, 10, eight and two.

Bale and Ronaldo shine as Real trash Sevilla

Gareth Bale scored twice and Cristiano Ronaldo notched a hat-trick as Real Madrid thrashed Sevilla 7-3 on Wednesday in their league clash.
Bale was making his first start at the Santiago Bernabeu and made an immediate impact as he put the hosts 2-0 up within half an hour.
Ronaldo then added a third, but Sevilla fought back through an Ivan Rakitic penalty and Carlos Bacca.
Bale then set up Karim Benzema and Ronaldo to put Real 5-2 ahead before Rakitic replied once more with a stunning strike for Sevilla, although he was to blot his copybook by missing a penalty later.
Ronaldo went on to complete his hat-trick and Benzema rounded off the scoring after Sevilla had been reduced to 10 men when Stephane Mbia was sent-off with 14 minutes remaining.
Real boss Carlo Ancelotti had made four changes to the side that lost 2-1 to Barcelona at the weekend with Benzema restored to the number nine role between Ronaldo and Bale in attack.
And the Frenchman proved his worth in the move for the opener as he raced onto Isco’s pass before cutting the ball back for Bale to fire high into the net on his favoured left foot.
Benzema then teed up Bale twice more as the Welshman was firstly denied by a smart save from Beto before blasting inches over from 20 yards.
Bale was credited with his second of the evening on 27 minutes when his free-kick took a huge deflection off the arm of Alberto Moreno and looped into the net past the helpless Beto.
Five minutes later it was 3-0 when Isco was unnecessarily dragged down inside the area by Fernando Navarro.

Qatar removes Zidane vs Matterazzi head butt statue

The famous statue which immortalised Zinedine Zidane’s headbutt on Marco Matterazzi in the final of the 2006 World Cup has been removed from public view in Qatar after locals complained the artwork is anti-Islam idolisation.
The Qatar Museum Authority bought the “Coup de Tete” sculpture after it was put on display earlier outside the Pompidou Centre in Paris, but now the piece of art is in need of a new home after it was briefly showcased at the Doha Corniche.
According to reports, Islamic law prohibits owning statues of human beings and animals to avoid the possibility of idolatry. While some Muslim countries do display statues in public, conservative Gulf nations mostly abstain from the practice.
The subtext from a report in AFP into the subject is that had Qatar not removed the statue, locals may have attacked it. On the public outcry and the general wider significant of the issue, the AFP wrote:continue reading after the cut

Nadal through to third round in paris

Nadal is appearing in Paris for the first time since 2009 having missed the last three years with injury, but the top seed looked as pretty good despite being pushed to a 7-5 7-5 victory
Nadal could manage just two breaks of serve, but crucially they both came at 5-5 in each set to enable him to then serve out for the lead and later on the match.
Granollers, who could only get in 58 percent of his first serves, forced just a single break point that Nadal saved, although he did make it hard work for the World No 1.
Nadal took an hour and 42 minutes to seal the victory, which sets up a third round meeting with Poland's Jerzy Janowicz.

Beckham supports England to cause an upset in Brazil

England secured automatic qualification with a tense 2-0 win over Poland at Wembley earlier this month - and Beckham was impressed with Roy Hodgson's men as they clinched top spot in Group H.
The former England captain played in three World Cups during his lengthy international career - and he believes the squad is strong enough to compete with the top teams in Brazil.
Speaking to chief news reporter, Bryan Swanson, Beckham told Sky Sports News: "It's great that Roy and the team have reached the World Cup because it's going to be a special World Cup in Brazil.
"I think we've got some really talented young players and I think once you're in a World Cup and you're in that situation it's special for the players and I think anything can happen. We've definitely got the talent, we've definitely got the leadership. Fingers crossed."
Beckham has played down criticism from Sir Alex Ferguson in his autobiography, insisting he was not upset by suggestions he lost his focus before joining Real Madrid.

"t's great that Roy and the team have reached the World Cup because it's going to be a special World Cup in Brazil."

But the former Manchester United midfielder believes Ferguson would accept that he maintained a professional attitude throughout his career.

French model roots for Ibrahimovic to win the Ballon d'or

The campaign for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to win the 2013-14 Ballon d’Or has already begun.
PSG’s sensational Swedish international striker is currently untouchable on the football pitch after scoring four goals against Anderlecht in the Champions League. Overall, in his last five matches for club and country, Ibrahimovic has bagged an eye-popping ten goals.
Despite the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored both Real Madrid goals against Juventus on Wednesday night, remains top of the Champions League scoring charts with seven goals in this year’s competition, following Zlatan’s destruction of Anderlecht, the campaign has begun for Ibra to be voted this season’s player of the year.
French glamour model Virginie Caprice has positioned herself as Zlatan’s number one cheerleader for the Ballon d’Or by posting a revealing picture onto Twitter supporting the Swede.
The picture of Virginie Caprice’s campaign for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to win the Ballon d’Or is below, together with the thoughts of ESPN pundit Julien Laurens saings Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently the best player in the world.

Real bid for Suarez

The Star, generally a highly unreliable source of transfer information, have splashed the backpage of their tabloid and the front page of their website with a rumour involving Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal and Luis Suarez. The headline and sub-headline scream, “EXCLUSIVE: Real Madrid ready to offer £20m and Karim Benzema for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez”, “Real Madrid are plotting a January move for Luis Suarez by offering Liverpool £20m plus Karim Benzema.”
When it comes to the detail of the proposed deal, the Star’s article is full of ifs, buts and maybes but no quotes.
Romelu Lukaku is arguably one of the strongest strikers in the Premier League and he shows no sign of slowing down. The young Belgian striker is currently on loan at Everton from Chelsea and continues to terrorize defenses with his strength, aerial ability, and overall game.
Many Chelsea fans wondered why Jose Mourinho let the impressive 20 year-old striker go out on loan at the very end of the transfer window, but at Everton, Lukaku is afforded the luxury of regular playing time and even more experience at the top level. So far this season, the Belgian striker has scored 5 goals in 5 Premier League appearances.
On Wednesday, Lukaku posted the below videos of him in the gym at Everton. While some may believe he spends all his days in the gym working out and improving his strength, Lukaku shows that pushing weights isn't the only way to get stronger.
