Real Madrid’s superstar striker scored an incredible hat-trick in a 5-1 home win against Real Sociedad on Saturday, and it now seems that Sepp Blatter’s recent jokes at the Portuguese attacker’s expense has only fuelled the forward to succeed further.- The hat-trick was the 23rd for real madrid.
Ronaldo’s stats are off the charts. In 17 games for his club this campaign, Ronaldo has 24 goals and 6 assists. Ronaldo has now scored 25 career hat-tricks (23 for Madrid), while the Real hero has now has scored 60 goals in a calendar year for the 3rd year running.
And yet Ronaldo still isn’t a shoo-in for the Ballon d’Or, with many listing Lionel Messi or Zlatan Ibrahimovic as possible winners of this year’s crown.
Cristiano however doesn’t want to talk about the Ballon d’Or, telling reporters after the game against Sociedad: “I will not speak about the Golden Ball, I do not care. I give the answers on the field.”
